One of the French Quarter's most popular destinations, Jackson Square is surrounded by historic buildings including St. Louis cathedral, Presbytere and Cabildo which are Louisiana State Museums and the many shops, galleries and restaurants of the oldest apartment building in the U.S. the Pontalba Apartments.

Jackson Square ~ Past Present Future
I don't always enjoy naming our photographs, but it is normally
required when selling online. When I looked over this scene, I saw
New Orleans' past represented by St. Louis Cathedral and I saw the
modern buildings in the background so I knew right off that Past and
Present would be in the title. The old and new were the main
inspiration for taking this photograph. I had also wanted to capture
the vendors in the photograph, but where I lucked out in the natural
setting of the photo was the fact that the vendor has a sign out
proclaiming Tarot Card readings. I knew before I lifted the camera
the name of this photograph.

Jackson Square Alley
Cabido Alley is located at Jackson Square and, as you can see is a
very beautiful alley.

The Saint Louis Cathedral
The beautiful Saint Louis Cathedral is probably one of the most
photographed locations in New Orleans. It's easy to see why.
